Philip Pargeter

Philip Pargeter ( born June 13, 1933, Wolverhampton) is a retired auxiliary bishop in Birmingham.

Life

Philip Pargeter received on 21 February 1959, and was ordained priest incardinated in the Clergy of the Diocese of Birmingham. John Paul II appointed him on 20 November 1989 as Auxiliary Bishop in Birmingham and Titular Bishop of Valentiniana.

The Archbishop of Birmingham, Maurice Noël Léon Couve de Murville, donated to him on 21 February of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Geoffrey Burke, Auxiliary Bishop of Salford, and Joseph Gray, Bishop of Shrewsbury.

On 31 July 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. its age-related resignation.

Philip Pargeter is Grand Officer of the Order of the Holy grave in Jerusalem.
