Philipp Andreas Oldenburger

Philipp Andreas Oldenburg (* around 1620 in the Duchy of Celle ();? † 1678 in Geneva) was a German lawyer and university professor.

Life and work

Philipp Andreas Oldenburg studied law at the University of Helmstedt; to his academic teachers belonged to Hermann Conring. After graduating, he was appointed to a law professor at the University of Geneva.

Contemporary awareness among a wider audience became Oldenburg with his 1669 published magazine " Constantini germanici ...", in which he described intimate details of the life of German courts.
