Philipp Lahm ( 2013)
Philipp Lahm ( born November 11, 1983 in Munich) is a German footballer and captain of FC Bayern Munich and the German national team. He plays preferably in the defense as a right or left-back, but can also be used as a defensive midfielder.

Origin and education
Philipp Lahm grew up together with a two- year-old sister and grandparents in the Munich district Gern. His father, a telecommunications engineer, had played football in the district league. His mother is a youth leader at the FT Gern, started at the Lahm playing football.
Lahm has a high-school diploma.
His first steps as a footballer graduated Lahm for the FT Gern. From 1995 he played in the youth of the FC Bayern Munich, then from 2001 for the amateurs of the club in the Regionalliga Süd. His first senior international Philipp Lahm completed on 18 February 2004 in Split against Croatia (2-1). Lahm is involved in several social projects. He founded on December 11, 2007, Philipp Lahm Foundation, which has set itself the task of disadvantaged children and young people from Germany and children from Africa in the areas of promoting education, sports and health.
