Philipp Lothar Mayring
Philipp Lothar Mayring, also Philip Lothar Mayring ( born September 19, 1879 in Würzburg, † July 6, 1948 in Leipzig ) was a German actor, director and screenwriter.
Life
Mayring made in 1898 Abitur at Wilhelmsgymnasium Munich and joined in the same year for the first time in Heidelberg as an actor. In Görlitz, Augsburg and Munich, he played in the coming years, major theater figures such as Franz Moor in The Robbers, the title characters of Faust, Othello, Cyrano de Bergerac and Orestes.
Early Mayring also worked as a theater director and film director. In the thirties, he found his main task in writing screenplays. In the movie genres such as home movies, comedies and melodramas he was active. He took over a few times and the Director as in the propaganda movie blood brothers. After the war Mayring worked in broadcasting Leipzig.
