Philipp Tschauner

Tschauner 2013

Philipp Tschauner ( born November 3, 1985 in Schwabach ) is a German football goalkeeper. For the 1st FC Nuremberg he played a league game in 2005, for the 1860 Munich he played from 2006 to 2011 49 times in the 2nd Bundesliga. Since the season 2011/12 he is in the squad of FC St. Pauli.

Career

Youth and early professional football in Nuremberg

After a year in the F -Jugend TSV Wendelstein Tschauner began his career in 1995 at the 1st FC Nuremberg, where he went through all the youth teams. After he had already partly helped out in the 2003/04 season in goal for the second team of the FCN, he was in 2004/05 for the third goalkeeper of the pros and goalkeeper of Bayern league team of the 1st FC Nuremberg. On 22 October 2005, he was first employed against Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga.

TSV 1860 München

In summer 2006, he moved to TSV 1860 Munich, where he signed a three-year contract. In the season 2006/ 07 he was a regular goalkeeper in the U23 of lions in the Regionalliga Süd, moreover, he came to five appearances in the second division club TSV 1860, where he replaced twice for Michael Hofmann, who had been injured.

In preparing for the 2007/08 season coach Marco Kurz explained Tschauner the goalkeeper before Hofmann. Already on matchday itself Tschauner but suffered a partial demolition of the cruciate ligament in his left knee, so Hofmann came into use again. Even after this was in goal for the Sechzger, Tschauner had several months with the role of the substitute goalkeeper satisfied. On 27 February 2008, Hofmann injured in Cup derby against FC Bayern, which Tschauner came to his comeback. Also in the League he was now on again the first choice for short. In March 2008, his contract was extended until 2011.

Tschauner was also in the following season 2008/ 09 as a goalkeeper. However, when Uwe Wolf Marco Kurz replaced in February 2009 as a coach, Tschauner had to resign into second place, while the gate of the lions was again guarded by Michael Hofmann again. However, this was injured after 30 match day, so that at the end of the season again Tschauner stood between the posts.

In the summer of 2009, the 1860 Gábor Király, declared immediately to the goalkeeper committed. Tschauner had to again settle for the post of substitute goalkeeper. He came during the season 2009/10 more than once for the second team to use, the gate of the professionals he kept for the only time on the final day. In the following season he was sitting at 33 games on the bench, only in the last home game he was used. Overall Tschauner denied 49 league and cup appearances for the five 1860 times and ran 40 times for 1860 II.

FC St. Pauli

For the season 2011/12 Tschauner changes to just relegated from the Bundesliga FC St. Pauli, where he signed a contract until 2013. There he became an instant first-choice goalkeeper and took part in all 19 league games until he in the last game before the winter break out - with a 2-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt - drew upon an acromioclavicular blast that made him unfit for duty for several weeks.

On 1 April 2013, the 27th round of the Bundesliga 2, Tschauner scored in the 90th minute, the 2-2 result against SC Paderborn 07 with a header after a corner kick from midfielder Dennis Daube.

National

Philipp Tschauner came ten times for the youth teams of the DFB used. In 2004 he stood for the U-19 European Championship on call. He had his first deployment but only later in the U20. There he played a total of nine times, he was also in the German squad at the Junior World Championships in 2005. Among his only use for the U21 he came on August 15, 2006 game against the Netherlands.
