Philippe Clement

Philippe Clement ( born March 22, 1974 in Antwerp ) is a former Belgian international footballer.

Career

As a player

Clement came over Antwerp suburb clubs in the Belgian professional football. In Genk, he managed to climb to the first division and won in his last year the national cup. In 1999 he went to Bruges where he won every national title several times and took part in the Champions League. After ten years and over 250 games for Bruges, he left his career at his old now renamed Germinal Beerschot club bar.

From 1998 to 2007 he played 38 times for the Belgian national team and took her part in the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000. His only goal succeeded while in a qualifying match for the 2004 European Championship against the national team of Bulgaria.

As a coach

Philippe Clement began in Bruges as a youth coach and cared for there at the time the second team. He is currently responsible after Georges Leekens was released in early November 2012 as interim coach for the senior team.
