Philippe Koch ( born February 8, 1991) is a Swiss football player. He plays at FC Zurich since 2008 on the position of the defender. His older brother Raphael is also the Zurich FC under contract.

Career

Club career

The youth clubs of Philippe Koch were the Biberist FC and FC Solothurn. In 2007 he moved to FC Zurich. On August 28, 2008, he denied during the UEFA Cup match against SK Sturm Graz his first game for the first team of FC Zurich. Zurich decided the game 5-3 after a penalty shootout. In the 2008 /09 season was cooking for the first time in his career with Swiss champions FC Zurich. His first goal in the Super League, he scored on 2 October 2011 at the 226th Derby Zurich. He scored in the 43rd minute with a right-footed shot between the temporal 1:1. The game was blown by referee Sascha Kever in the 78th minute when there were riots in the stadium. The game was counted 3-0 forfeit for the Grasshopper Club Zurich.

National team career

Koch played in the U -16, U -17, U -19 and U -21 currently in Switzerland. With the U-17, U-19 and U-21, he managed to participate in various tournaments. 2008 Cook played at the U- 17 European Championship in Turkey. However, the team was eliminated in the preliminary round. Played with, among others, also players like Nassim Ben Khalifa, Xherdan Shaqiri and Admir Mehmedi for Switzerland. With the U-19 in 2009, he managed to qualify for the U-19 European Championship, where the team after a 1-1 draw in the opening match against England, a 2-1 victory against Slovenia and a 0-1 defeat against Ukraine, in Preliminary already retired. His greatest success at national level it reached in 2011 but at the U- 21 European Championship in Denmark, as the team without getting a goal moved into the finals. There they defeated Spain, 0-2.

For the European Championship qualifier against Montenegro on October 11, 2011 Koch was in for the suspended Reto Ziegler, who got the red card in the match against Wales (0:2), re-nominated as a left-back. Ottmar Hitzfeld moved for Ziegler however Ricardo Rodríguez ago, who came in the game against Wales already at a 28 minute appearance.
