Philippe Lakos

Philippe Lakos ( born August 19, 1980 in Vienna) is an Austrian ice hockey player (defender), who plays for the Vienna Capitals of the Austrian Hockey League since 2009.

Career

As a junior player he played until 2000 with the Toronto St. Michael's Majors in the Ontario Hockey League.

It was followed by engagements in the East Coast Hockey League with the Jacksonville Lizard Kings, Toledo Storm, Florida Everblades and Reading Royals. Already in 2002 he made a trip to Austria and joined in the play-off twice for the Vienna Capitals. In 2003 he played again in the ECHL for the Augusta Lynx and Arkansas River Blades.

From the 2004/05 season at the 1.93 m tall defender played four years for the Vienna Capitals before he moved to the HC Innsbruck. After a year in Innsbruck, he returned to the Vienna Capitals.

He is also a national player of the Austrian national ice hockey team, playing there with the number 11
