Philippe Streiff

Philippe Streiff ( born June 26, 1955 in Grenoble ) is a French former racing driver, who was also active in Formula 1.

Streiff made ​​his debut in Formula 1 Grand Prix of Portugal in 1984, a Renault, but did not due to a defective drive shaft to the finish. In 1985, he drove four races for Ligier and was obliged at the end of the season by Tyrrell as a substitute for the fatally injured Stefan Bellof. Streiff drove for the team of Ken Tyrrell to 1987. In 1988 he drove for the French AGS team. Shortly before the 1989 season, he crashed heavily in training rides in Brazil and since then sitting in a wheelchair.

Philippe Streiff brought in 53 races total of 11 points. The biggest success of his career was the third place in the Grand Prix of Australia 1985.
