Philippos Sachinidis

Filippos Sachinidis (Greek Φίλιππος Σαχινίδης, born March 27, 1963 in Vancouver ) is a Greek politician and economist

Life

Sachinidis his BA in Economics at the University of Piraeus and his master's degree in economics at Queens College and the City University of New York. He earned his doctorate at the University of Manchester.

Policy

In 2007 and 2009 he was elected to the Greek Parliament for PASOK. From March 21 2012 to 17 May 2012, he was the successor of Evangelos Venizelos Greece's Finance Minister in the Cabinet Papademos.

Private

Filippos Sachinidis is married to Ourania Karageorgou and has a son.
