Phillips and Rangeley Railroad

The Madrid Railroad is a former railroad in Maine (United States ) located in Phillips. It was founded on 29 April 1902. The opening of the railway line Madrid Junction -No. 6 mm in 610 gauge as well as a branch to Madrid in the summer of 1903. Operation was for the Phillips & Rangeley, but the line was owned by the Madrid Railroad. The main task of the railway was to carry away the produced in and around Weld Township wood. The end point was right next to a logging camp. 1905 was the Madrid Railroad as well as the Phillips & Rangeley broke and on 1 July 1908 took the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad, the two societies. 1932, the paths of the Madrid Railroad were shut down.
