Phillipsburg is a city in Kansas and the county seat of Phillips County.
Etymology
Phillipsburg was founded in 1872 and named after William A. Phillips, in contrast to Phillips County, which was named after William Phillips.
Geography
Phillipsburg is located on the western foothills of the Smoky Hills, 32 km south of the border to Nebraska in the Great Plains.
Traffic
Phillipp castle is located on U.S. Highway 36 and has a station on the Kyle Railroad.
Events
In Phillipsburg every year (usually in the first week of August ) is the largest rodeo in Kansas as well as every summer, in June, the riverless Festival.
