Philoxenos ( ancient Greek Φιλόξενος ) was an Indo - Greek king who is so far known only from his coins. After number of his coins he is one of the more important rulers of this period. The exact chronological fixing his reign is controversial in research and fluctuates 130-90 BC His coins show often on the back of a rider. They carry inscriptions in Greek on the front and on the back on such Kharoshthi.
