Pho Prathap Chang District

Amphoe Pho Prathap Chang ( Thai: อำเภอ โพธิ์ประทับช้าง ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the western province of Phichit. The Phichit Province is located in the southern part of Northern Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Sam Ngam which, Mueang Phichit Taphan Hin, Phichit Province Bueng Na rank and Bueng Samakkhi of Kamphaeng Phet province.

History

Pho Prathap Chang The circle was established initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) on June 24, 1967 consisting of Tambon, which were split off from the districts Mueang Phichit and Pho Thale. On September 1, 1973 Pho Prathap Chang received the full Amphoe status.

Management

The circle is divided into seven subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 99 villages ( Muban ).

Pho Prathap Chang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โพธิ์ประทับช้าง ) is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the Tambon Pho Prathap Chang, Tha Phai Pho and Wang Chik.

In addition, there are six " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
