Phocus

Phocus ( altgr.: Φῶκος ) is a figure in Greek mythology. He is the son of Aeacus and the Psamathe; his wife Asteria gave birth to the twins Krisos and Panopeus.

Of his brothers Telamon and Peleus, he was murdered out of jealousy, whereupon Psamathe revenge incited a terrible wolf on the flocks of Peleus. Only after Thetis, wife of Peleus, pleaded with Psamathe, they ended the killings and petrified the wolf.
