Phoenix Mercury
The Phoenix Mercury are a team of North American women's professional basketball league the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association). Play their home games from the team at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Mercury are the sister team of the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. The team name comes from the planet Mercury (English Mercury ), since the Mercury the closest planet to the Sun (English Sun ).
2007 and 2009, won the Mercury, led by Cappie Pondexter and Diana Taurasi WNBA Championship.
