Pholoe Painter

The Pholoe - painter was a designated a Notnamen ancient Greek vase painter who decorated his works in the Corinthian black-figure - style. He worked during the Mittelkorinthischen phase of the style ( approximately 600-575 BC). The Pholoe painter who specialized in the decoration of skyphoi. He is named after a Skyphos of Heracles shows in the cave of Pholus, which ward off the attack of several other centaurs. The work is about the year 580 BC. The 1884 acquired and found in Corinth vase is now in the Louvre in Paris.
