Phon Charoen District

Amphoe Phon Charoen ( Thai: อำเภอ พรเจริญ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the Province Bueng Kan. The Bueng Kan Province is located in the north of the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from west clockwise): Amphoe So the Phisai, Mueang Bueng Kan, Si Wilai and Seka in the province Bueng Kan, Amphoe Kham Ta Kla and the and Ban Muang Sakon Nakhon Province.

History

Phon Charoen was born on November 16, 1976 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by two tambon were separated from Amphoe Bueng Kan. On July 13, 1981 Phon Charoen has been promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Phon Charoen is divided into seven communities ( tambon), which in turn in 58 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Phon Charoen ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พรเจริญ ), consisting of parts of the tambon Phon Charoen,
  • Don Ya Nang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดอน หญ้า นาง ), consisting of the whole tambon Don Ya Nang,
  • Si Samran ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศรี สำราญ ), consisting of the whole tambon Si Samran.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
