Phon Sawan District
Amphoe Phon Sawan ( Thai: อำเภอ โพน สวรรค์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Nakhon Phanom. The Nakhon Phanom Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.
Geography
Neighbouring districts (from west clockwise): Amphoe Na Wa the Si Songkhram, Nakhon Phanom Tha Uthen and Mueang Nakhon Phanom Province and Amphoe Kusuman in the province of Sakon Nakhon.
History
Phon Sawan was born on January 7, 1986 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the five tambon Phon Sawan, Na Hua Bo, Na Khamin, Phon Bok and Ban Kho were separated from Amphoe Tha Uthen. On 9 May 1992, he was promoted to Amphoe.
Management
Amphoe Phon Sawan is divided into seven communities ( tambon), which in turn in 86 villages ( Muban ) are divided.
Phon Sawan itself ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โพน สวรรค์ ) has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon), it consists of parts of the tambon Phon Sawan and Phon Chan.
In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
