PhpStorm is an integrated development environment (IDE ) from JetBrains for the PHP programming language and acts as a competitor to Zend Studio. Features include refactoring, smart code and syntax highlighting, PHPUnit support, version control tools as well as various options to automatically create code. PhpStorm is based on the IntelliJ IDEA the company JetBrains, however, constitutes specializing in PHP version

The functionality can be extended using plug -ins that are developed partly from JetBrains, part of the community.

The advantages include a fast start performance, a fast autocompletion and smart syntax highlighting.
