Phrom Buri District
Amphoe Phrom Buri ( Thai: อำเภอ พรหมบุรี ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the eastern part of the province of Singburi. Singburi is located in the central region of Thailand.
Geography
Neighboring districts ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Tha Wung Lopburi Province, Amphoe Chaiyo and Pho Thong Province Ang Thong and Amphoe Tha Chang and Mueang Singburi province of Singburi.
History
The city ( Mueang ) Phrom Buri existed even before the establishment of the Kingdom of Ayutthaya by King U Thong. The historical city was near the Wat Phrom Buri Amphawan in Tambon. The city was later north of Wat Phromma Thephawat to Pak Bang Mhuen Han ( ปาก บาง หมื่น หาญ ) laid.
The Thesaphiban reforms in the late 19th century made Phrom Buri a province within the " Monthon Krungkao ", which in 1895 was renamed " Monthon Ayutthaya ". In the 20th century Phrom Buri was downgraded to a district of the province of Singburi.
Management
The county Phrom Buri is divided into seven subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 42 villages ( Muban ).
There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Pak Bang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ปาก บาง ) consists of the whole Tambon Phrom Buri,
- Bang Nam Chiao ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บาง น้ำ เชี่ยว ) covers the entire Tambon Bang Nam Chiao.
There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
