Phrom Khiri District

Amphoe Phrom Khiri ( Thai: อำเภอ พรหมคีรี ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat, Southern Thailand. The Nakhon Si Thammarat province lies to the east of the southern region of Thailand.

Geography

The Nakhon Si Thammarat province lies about 780 kilometers south of Bangkok on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula to the Gulf of Thailand.

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe the Nopphitam, Tha Sala, Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat, Lan Saka and Phipun. All Amphoe located in the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

History

Phrom Khiri was born on August 26, 1974 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established as the three Tambon Phrom Lok, Ban Ko were from Amphoe Mueang and In Khiri Nakhon Si Thammarat separated. On July 13, 1981 Phrom Khiri been promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Phrom Khiri is divided into five communities ( tambon), which in turn in 39 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Phrom Lok consists of parts of Tambon Phrom Lok and Ban Ko,
  • Thon Hong consists of the whole Tambon Thon Hong.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
