Phu Luang District

Amphoe Phu Luang ( Thai: อำเภอ ภู หลวง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Loei. The Loei Province is located in the western part of the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are ( from south clockwise): Amphoe Nam Nao in the province of Phetchabun, Amphoe Phu Ruea and Wang Saphung, Nong Hin Phu Kradueng in Loei province.

In the northwest of the district lies the plateau of Phu Luang mountain that gave its name to the circuit. It is now protected as a game reserve Luang Phu (Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary ). In Tambon Kaeng Si Phum is the Forest Park Namtok Huai Lao, an area of ​​3.4 km ² around the waterfall Huai Lao.

History

Phu Luang was posted on November 28, 1980 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the two tambon Phu Ho and Nong Khan from Amphoe Wang Saphung were separated. On 9 May 1992, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Phu Luang is divided into five subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 43 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
