Phu Ruea District

Amphoe Phu Ruea ( Thai: อำเภอ ภูเรือ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Loei. The Loei province is located in the western part of northeast Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are ( from northeast clockwise): Amphoe Tha Li which, Mueang Loei, Phu Luang and Wang Saphung in the province of Loei, Amphoe Lom Kao Phetchabun province and Amphoe Dan Sai in Loei again. To the northwest, the province Sayaburi the Democratic People's Republic of Laos is located.

Attractions

  • National Parks and other Protected Areas National Park Phu Ruea ( Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ ภูเรือ ) - opened the 121 km ² large park was established in July 1978 as the 28th national park of Thailand.
  • The Phu Luang Wildlife Park (Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary ) (size 848 km ², opened in December 1974 ) is located in the south of the county.

History

On October 15, 1968, Phu Ruea first as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by some parts of Amphoe Tha Li, Mueang Loei and Dan Sai separated and the district of Dan Sai was assumed. On 1 April 1974 Phu Ruea then got the full Amphoe status.

Management

Amphoe Phu Ruea is divided into six subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 47 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Phu Ruea ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ภูเรือ ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Nong Bua.

In addition, there are six " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
