Physical Society of Japan

The Japanese Physical Society ( JPS; jap日本 物理学 会, Nihon butsurigakkai; . Engl The Physical Society of Japan ) is an organization of 20,000 physicians, researchers and educators and engineers.

The primary purpose of JPS are the publication of research reports of its members and the provision of services to its members in terms of physics.

The JPS was founded in 1877 as the first scientific society in Japan.

The JPS has signed reciprocal agreements with seven companies Physics as the American Physical Society, German Physical Society and Korean Physical Society, so that the members of a society can benefit from the activities of other companies.
