Pian Camuno

Pian Camuno is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4448 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. The community is located about 34.5 kilometers north-northwest of Brescia east of the Oglio at the bottom Valcamonica and borders the province of Bergamo. Lake Iseo is located about 6 kilometers southwest of Pian Camuno.

History

In December 837 the village was first mentioned in a document. The present name gets the place or the community until 1863, before he was named as a planning or piano. From 1816 to 1859 the community was still piano con Beata, Solato e Vissone.

Traffic

Pian Camuno lies with its railway station ( Piancamuno - Gratacasolo ) on the railway Brescia - Iseo - Edolo. Through the community ( the provincial road Brescia ( SPBS ) 345 today ) from Brescia leads the former Strada Statale 345 delle Tre Valli to Breno.
