PICMG

The PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group, PICMG short, is a consortium of over 220 companies that develop off-patent specifications for high performance telecommunications and industrial applications together. The consortium members are mostly pioneers of new technologies and has many years of development experience in their industries back.

The consortium was founded in 1994 with the mission to develop the interface standard PCI and establish in new markets. Currently, guidelines for open computer architectures in the industrial, telecommunications and military are developed and introduced. These specifications include, among others, AdvancedTCA, AdvancedMC, MicroTCA, COM Express, CompactPCI. You define the form factors of the modules and computer buses.
