PicoBSD

PicoBSD is a minimal version of the style similar to Unix FreeBSD operating system, a live system that fits on a floppy. PicoBSD suitable for example as a dial-up server or router. It requires at least a 386SX CPU with 8MB of RAM. A hard drive is not needed.

The last PicoBSD versions are based on FreeBSD 3.0. As the development of PicoBSD stagnant and the requirements changed at minimum versions, a more flexible framework called NanoBSD was created for FreeBSD 5.x, with which it is possible to put together individual minimum versions themselves, for example, to boot from a CompactFlash memory card.
