Pielnica

The Pielnica [ p ʲ ɛlɲitsa ] is a mountain in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship in south-eastern Poland.

It rises in the mountains Niederbeskiden Skibce ( 776 m) in the area of places Nowotaniec, Nagorzany, Nadolany, Wola Sękowa, Odrzechowa and Długie flows through Pielnia and Nowosielce and flows Besko, after a run of 63 km, in the Wisłok.

History

It was first mentioned in 1390 as Pele, an early form of the name. Other earlier versions are Pella 1419 Pielica 1441 Pielnyka 1512., The German form of the name Piella has long disuse.
