Pier Andrea Saccardo

Pier Andrea Saccardo ( born April 23 1845 in Treviso, † February 11, 1920 in Padua ) was an Italian botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Sacc. ".

Saccardo studied at the Lyceum to Venice, graduated from the University of Padua doctoral degrees, in 1869 there was appointed professor of natural history at the Technical Institute and in 1879 professor of botany and director of the Botanical Garden of the University.
