Pier Leone Ghezzi

Pier Leone Ghezzi ( born June 28, 1674 Rome, † March 6, 1755 ) was an Italian painter, etcher and draftsman.

Pier Leone Ghezzi was a pupil of his father Giuseppe Ghezzi and also in the field of Fresco and enamel painting works. Pope Benedict XIV appointed him director of the Mosaizistenschule and galleries.

He owes his reputation especially his knack for the caricature drawing. He had the gift to give his people despite the distortion of facial features a surprising similarity.
