Pierce Township is one of 14 townships of Clermont County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in the year 2000 12.226 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Pierce Township is located in the west of Clermont County in southwest Ohio, is bounded on the southwest by the Ohio River, which is the natural border with Kentucky and bordered clockwise to the townships: Union Township, Batavia Township, Monroe Township, Ohio Township and Anderson Township in Hamilton County.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk ( responsible for finance and budget), which is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
