Piero Ferrari

Piero Lardi Ferrari ( May 22nd, 1945 in Castelvetro di Modena ) is an Italian entrepreneur and industrialist.

He is the son of Enzo Ferrari and Lina Lardi degli Adelardi († 2006) and half-brother died in 1956 of muscular dystrophy Alfredo Ferrari.

After studying business, Piero Ferrari since 1965 working at Ferrari, the company his father, whose vice-president since 1988, and he is where he is ten percent owner.

Since 1998 he is co-owner of Piaggio Aero Industries. There, the Italian is currently also Chairman of the Board. He also has the company's high performance engineering, which develops high-performance engines, for example, for Ducati.

2004 Ferrari Piero was awarded the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro. In the same year he was made an honorary Doctor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the University of Naples Federico II in 2005, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia awarded him an honorary doctorate in engineering.
