Pierre Arditi

Pierre Arditi ( born December 1, 1944 in Paris) is a French actor.

His movie debut was in 1971 in Blaise Pascal. After that, he played primarily with in TV series. From 1980 ( My Uncle from America with Gérard Depardieu ) Arditi frequently collaborated with director Alain Resnais. His greatest film successes were Dreyfus Affair (1994) and a supporting role in the four-part The Count of Monte Cristo (1998). Highlights in Arditi's career were winning the Cesar Film Awards for Best Supporting Actor in 1987 Resnais ' Mélo and as Best Actor in Smoking / No Smoking.

In 2002 he was appointed a Knight of the French Legion of Honour.
