Pierre Charron
Pierre Charron (* 1541 in Paris, † November 16, 1603 ) was a French philosopher, theologian and representatives of skepticism.
He was right in Orléans and Bourges. After working as a lawyer and subsequently studied theology Charron received priestly ordination in 1576 and worked among others as a court preacher of the French Queen Margaret of Navarre ( Marguerite de Valois ).
Charron's philosophical works are strongly influenced by the skepticism of the philosopher Michel de Montaigne. Both were friends. As a major work Charrons the 1601 completed and consists of three separate volumes, is considered under the title Traite de la Sagesse.
