Pierre Dagenais
Pierre Dagenais Patrick ( born March 4, 1978 in Blainville, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player ( striker ), who was most recently at the Akwesasne Warriors in Federal Hockey League contract.
Career
He began his career Pierre Dagenais with the Moncton Alpines in the Quebec Major Junior League Junior Hockey League ( QMJHL ) at the age of 17 years. He quickly became the star of his team when he led in the 1995/96 season his team in the gate and points list. In the NHL Entry Draft 1996, he was then taken by the New Jersey Devils in the second round as 47th.
However, the following year he continued to play in the QMJHL for the Laval Titan Collège Français. Middle of the season he switched to the Rouyn -Noranda Huskies. Since the rights of the New Jersey Devils were expire after two years, you got him in the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 in the fourth round as the 105th again.
In the 1997/98 season Dagenais led Torwertung the QMJHL and took second place in the points standings.
In the 1998/99 season Dagenais played for the farm team of the New Jersey Devils in the American Hockey League, the Albany River Rats. His second season for Albany was better than the first and he finished the season among the Topscorern the league with 35 goals.
In the 2000 /01 season Dagenais made his first experiences in the NHL. In the following season he played 16 times for the New Jersey Devils and for their farm team, the Albany River Rats and the Utah Grizzlies. He then moved to the Florida Panthers, where he played for the AHL team the San Antonio Rampage.
In the summer of 2003 surprised the manager of the Montreal Canadiens some by taking Dagenais for a year under contract. The 2003/04 season started Dagenais for the farm team of the Canadiens, the Hamilton Bulldogs. During the season, he was appointed to the second line of the Canadiens and played 50 games with Mike Ribeiro, whom he already knew from his QMJHL times. The scrimmage convinced as the most productive of the team with 27 points.
During the NHL lockout in 2004/05, he played seven games for the HC Ajoie in Switzerland. After an unsuccessful start to the 2005/06 season, he was on January 6 of the Canadiens back to the farm team, the Hamilton Bulldogs sent.
After the end of his contract in the summer of 2006, he signed in October 2006 with the Finnish club Jokerit in the SM- liiga. His contract ended in the Christmas break and was not renewed. So he moved to the HC Innsbruck in the Erste Bank Hockey League. When HC Innsbruck, he remained one and a half years before he spent the next two seasons with HC Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established. In 101 KHL games he scoring 26 goals and gave 16 assists.
After his contract was not extended, the Canadian 2010/11 hired at the beginning of the season at the Akwesasne Warriors from the inaugural Federal Hockey League. This he left after 54 scorer points in 23 games and participated in a contract offer of the Austrian second division ATSE Graz. Although he signed a valid contract in Graz, Dagenais negotiated with other teams and the Austrians made him pull in the GET ligaen to Vålerenga Ishockey. He remained there, however, only two months before he moved in March 2011, again in the Federal Hockey League to the Akwesasne Warriors. Dagenais scored in the finals of the playoffs seven goals in four games and won in connection with the Warriors the Commissioner's Cup, the championship of the FHL.
