Pierre de la Garde
Pierre de la Garde ( born February 10, 1717 Crécy -en- Brie, † 1792) was a French composer and singer (baritone ) of the pre-classical period.
Pierre de la Garde had a job at the French court as a music tutor to the children of Louis XV. ( Maitre de musique des Enfants de France) and was from 1750 to 1755 assistant conductor of the Paris Opera. In 1756 he was " Compositeur de la chambre du roi ". His most successful work was his Pastoral héroique " Agelé " (1748 ), also submitted three other stage works from his pen. In addition, wrote de la Garde, arias, " Brunettes " with accompaniment of a harp or guitar and several cantatas in a lyrical style and " Cantat Illes " ( comic cantatas ). To this type belongs the cantata " La Sonata ".
