Pierre de Monte

Fra ' Pietro del Monte, French and Pierre de Monte ( * 1499 in Italy; † January 26, 1572 in Valletta, Malta), was dated 23 August 1568 to his death in the 50th Grand Master of the Order of Malta.

His family name was actually Guidalotti, but he took during the pontificate of his uncle, Pope Julius III. (Giovanni Maria del Monte San Savino Ciocchi ) whose last name.

Prior to his election as Grand Master he was monk in Capua.
