Pierre Falardeau
Pierre Falardeau (born 28 December 1946 in Montreal, † September 25, 2009 ) was a Canadian film director from the ethnic group of Francophone Canadians.
After studying anthropology Pierre Falardeau was briefly employed as a teacher. In the 1960s, he came up with the French-Canadian independence movement in contact. Most of his numerous films had this issue as a basis. He was politically active throughout his life as a speaker and activist for the independence of the Canadian province of Quebec.
