Pierre Gignoux

Pierre Gignoux ( born May 19, 1967 in Grenoble ) is a French ski mountaineer. Except he goes mountain climbing ski mountaineering and cross-country skiing, paragliding flying, driving road bike and mountain bike.

Success (selection)

In 1994 he graduated with participation in the Trans Mont Blanc his first competition since 1995 and is a member of the French national ski mountaineering. At the European Championships in ski mountaineering in 1999, he was in a team with Francis Bibollet and at the European Championships in ski mountaineering in 2001 with Stéphane Brosse European champions. At the World Cup in ski mountaineering in 2002, he scored the fifth place in the team with Stéphane Brosse. At the European Championships in ski mountaineering in 2003 he was able to reach the fourth place in the team with Brosse. Also with Brosse he won the 2004 Trans Cavallo. With Alexandre Pellicier he scored in the team at the World Cup in ski mountaineering in 2006 the 8th Place. Together with Stéphane Brosse, who is also a member of the French national ski mountaineering, he holds since May 30, 2003 record for the ascent including downhill at Mont Blanc with a total time of 5h 15 ' 47 ", of which around 4 hours and 7 minutes the rise and 1 hour and 7 minutes for the subsequent downhill run.
