Pierre Howard

Pierre D. Howard ( born February 3, 1943 in Decatur, Georgia ) is an American politician. Between 1991 and 1999 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Georgia.

Career

Pierre Howard is the grandson of Congressman William S. Howard ( 1875-1953 ). After studying law at the University of Georgia and his admission to the bar he began to work in this profession. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Democratic Party launched a political career. Between 1972 and 1990 he was a member of the Senate of Georgia. There he spent 16 years as chairman of the Senate Human Resources Committee.
