Pierre Issa

Pierre Issa ( born September 11, 1975 in Johannesburg) is a South African football player at the position of a defender who is also held by the French citizenship since 1995. Due to the country of birth of his parents Issa is of Lebanese descent.

Career

Pierre Issa began his professional career in 1995 with Olympique Marseille, where he played until 2001. From February to June 2001, he then played at Chelsea, before moving to Watford FC. According to the 2001 / 02 season, he went from the English Premier League in the country of birth of his parents, where he played at Olympic Beirut and came soon after Cameroon Unisport Bafang, where he played until 2005.

For the season 2005/ 06 he went for a year to Greece Ionikos Nikea. From the 2006/07 season he also played in Greece for OFI Crete and is committed in Iran since the 2009/10 FC Steel Azin.

His national team debut came on 15 November 1997, a 0-3 away defeat against Germany. His 47th and last game for South Africa completed Issa on 30 January 2006.
