Pierre Korb

Pierre Basket ( born April 20, 1908 in Mulhouse; † 22 February 1980) was a French football player.

Career

He played from 1930 to 1937 and from 1939 to 1941 for his hometown club FC Mulhouse. In between, he was from 1937 to 1939 for FC Sochaux active. With Sochaux, he became in 1938 a French football champions.

Between 1930 and 1934 he played twelve times for the French national football team and scored two goals, both in international matches against Czechoslovakia ( 2:3, 1930, 1:2, 1934).

At the World Cup in Italy in 1934, he belonged to the levy of the Bleus, but was not used in the preliminary round match against Austria ( 2:3 aet).
