Pierre Le Muet
Pierre Le Muet (* 1591 in Dijon, † 1669) was a French architect from several absolutist kings like Louis XIV and built several palaces.
Life
Pierre Le Muet built with François Mansart, the hospital Val -de- Grâce and drew up the plans for the Basilica Notre- Dame-des- Victoires in Paris. He was also the architect of castles Tanlay in Burgundy, Luynes on the Loire, Laigle in Normandy and Beauvilliers.
He translated Andrea Palladio ( 1626 ) and Giacomo Barozzi da Vignola ( 1632), as he wrote the book Manière de toutes sortes de personnes pour bâtir.
