Pierre Michel

Pierre Michel ( born June 11, 1942 in Toulon ) is a French literature professor and scientist who has specialized in the writer Octave Mirbeau.

Life

After 1992 successfully defended his dissertation on the works of Octave Mirbeau at the University of Angers, the son of the historian Henri Michel founded a year later, the " Société Octave Mirbeau ". In addition to his duties as President of the Literary Society, he is among other things also the founder and chief editor of Cahiers Octave Mirbeau journal.

Michel has published as a biographer of Mirbeau scientific work of all his works: novels, plays, articles and correspondence. After publication of the first edition of his band over Mirbeaus Correspondance générale, he was awarded in October 2003 with the Sévigné prize.
