Pierre Musy

Pierry Musy ( born August 25, 1910 in Albeuve; † 21 November 1990 Duedingen ) was a Swiss bob pilot, equestrians, diplomat and high-ranking officer. He was Olympic champion in 1936 in the four-man event and was from 1963 to 1967 head of Swiss Intelligence Service.

Life

Pierry Musy, the oldest of seven children of the later Federal Jean-Marie Musy and Juliette de Meyer, received his education at the Collège Saint -Michel in Fribourg. He then studied law at the University of Bern. From 1931 to 1935 he worked for a bank in Geneva, then to 1939 for the federal banking and domain management. In the Swiss army, he was promoted several times: 1939 to Captain, Major 1946, 1955 and finally in 1965 to colonel to brigadier. Musy was three times commander of a military unit; 1938-1941 of Dragoon squadron 5, 1946-1949 of the Fusilier Battalion 20 and 1959 to 1960 of motorized Dragoons 1 His diplomatic career began in 1951 as a military attaché in Tehran, after which he was military attaché in 1954-1961 Paris.
