Pierre Troisgros

Pierre Troisgros ( born September 3, 1928 in Chalon -sur -Saône ) is a French restaurateur.

Life

Pierre Troisgros and his brother Jean received an education at well-known chefs in Paris. In 1954 he returned to Roanne. A year later, the country inn of Pierre and Jean Troisgros got its first Michelin star. Within ten years, he became the most popular restaurant in the region and soon it was also one of the most famous in France. 1965, now known as the Frères Troisgros, it received the second star, in 1968 the third. As part of a group of chefs that are expected to nouvelle cuisine, the brothers Pierre and Jean, 1972 by critics of the Gault Millau were honored with the title " Best Restaurant in the World".

The philosophy of her father Jean -Baptiste Troisgros was to lead a good provincial restaurant (established 1930).
