Pierre Uytterhoeven

Pierre Uytterhoeven is a French screenwriter who, together with director Claude Lelouch won the Oscar for best original screenplay for A Man and a Woman (1966 ) at the Academy Awards in 1967.

Biography

Uytterhoeven began as an assistant director and was awarded the 1966 Prix Vulcain de l'artiste technicien before he won the Oscar for best original screenplay same for his second work as an author, writing the screenplay for Claude Lelouch's A Man and a woman with this 1967.

Together with Lelouch in 1976 he was again nominated for an Oscar for best original screenplay and indeed for a lifetime (1974). Other movies with screenplays written by him and scenarios were let The kidnappers greet (1971 ) by C. Lelouch, Candlelight ( 1972) by Serge Korber, A Happy New Year (1973 ) by C. Lelouch, And Now ... Ladies & Gentlemen ( 2002) by C. Lelouch and Roman de gare (2007 ), another collaborative effort between him and Claude Lelouch. With Lelouch he also created the script for the French episode 11'09 "01 - September 11 ( 2002).

Between 1993 and 1998, he also wrote several screenplays for episodes of the TV series about the fictional Léo Malet private eye Nestor Burma.
