Pierre Wajoka

Pierre Wajoka ( born December 19, 1978 in Noumea, New Caledonia ) is a New Caledonian footballer who plays for FC Gaitcha in Noumea and the New Caledonian football team. He plays the position of midfielder and is also captain of the national team.

Career

Wajoka played from 2003 to 2006 with AS Magenta, before moving to AS Lössi in summer 2006. In 2007 he won the New Caledonian Cup competition. After the 2006/2007 season, he signed a contract with AS Magenta again. In the spring of 2011, he left the AS Magenta and signed a contract with FC Gaitcha.

Internationally

For his country, the striker played in the qualification for the FIFA World Cup in 2006 and 2010. He scored 7 goals in 15 qualifying matches. He scored on 25 August 2007, in the game against Tahiti 's first goal in the qualifying campaign for the 2010 World Cup, when he converted a penalty to make it 1-0 final score in the ninth minute.
