Pierrelatte

Pierre Latte is a municipality with 12,953 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in France, 150 km south of Lyon. It is located in the department of Drôme (Rhône- Alpes).

Since 1962, the population has increased 4251-1968 in 9757. This stagnated until 1975, then grew steadily until it reached 1982 11596. This state has only slightly increased to 1999.

In its vicinity is one of the largest nuclear plants in the world, the nuclear plant Tricastin, which is operated by the French state companies Areva and Electricité de France (EdF ), consisting of several areas, including a nuclear power plant with four reactor blocks, two uranium enrichment plants and a uranium conversion plant.
